Worshipful Master 2011
Happy Independence Day! Our July calendar filled up quick, so please be sure to read your July 2011 Columns.
- Please keep in mind that the Master Masons Association breakfast will be a picnic this year. July 9th at Melrose Lodge at noon. Please come out, bring a friend and your family to enjoy some fellowship with the brethren of the 22nd Masonic District.
- Our July Stated Communication will be our family picnic! You will likely be getting a call from one of the brethren to remind you and ask about bringing a dessert or side. This is a great opportunity to bring out the family and enjoy some summer fun. We will have the picnic at the shelter behind the lodge starting around 6PM before the stated communication on the 18th, so come on down!
- We have an EA degree scheduled for the 25th, and one of our Fellowcraft will be giving his EA catechism afterwards. Please come out and support your lodge as we welcome our new brother.
March has proved to be a busy month! We initiated a new brother, raised brother Thomas to the sublime degree of Master Mason, and enjoyed a wonderful ladies night dinner for our stated communication (see photo). We have new degree work to perform, and the lodge is growing. We have one more MM degree to perform this coming Monday the 28th. Dinner will be served at 6pM and the degree will start at 7PM. In addition, our March Night Out on the Town will be at Bad Wolf BBQ on Williamson Road this coming Thursday. Please be sure to look out for your April columns coming in the mail soon. Included in this issue is a list of some upcoming Child ID programs. I look forward to seeing you Monday night for the degree and Thursday for our Night Out.
At our February stated communication, Pleasants Lodge was pleased to receive Right Worshipful Arthur Lee Pendleton, District Deputy Grand Master for the 22nd Masonic District, for his official visit.
Pleasants’ first stated communication of 2011 went well. The W.M. made some remarks about the new Master’s Wages program and discussed the programs for the year. For more information about the Master’s Wages program, please read the January 2011 Columns if you haven’t already.
